Common questions
+ - How do I block or mute someone?
Two ways. Tap their name or photo on any message to open their card, then Block — that hides their messages everywhere and stops their DMs. For a lighter touch, long-press one of their messages and pick Mute, which just hides them from that room. Everyone you've blocked is listed under Profile → Blocked members if you want to undo it.
+ - How do I stop notifications for podcasts or a specific show?
Podcast alerts are OFF by default now. If you turned them on and want out, go to Notifications (the bell) and switch off "New podcast episodes" — or open the Podcasts tab in the bell and mute just the shows you don't care about, keeping the ones you do. Every other kind of alert has its own switch in Profile → Notifications.
+ - I'm getting too many notifications — how do I fix it without turning everything off?
Profile → Notifications has a "Reset to recommended" button, and it lists exactly which switches it turns on and which it turns off before you press it — mentions, DMs, game day, live shows and breaking scoops are in the on half; digests, sponsor offers and duel challenges are in the off half. It never touches your muted boards, your muted podcast shows or your quiet hours. For a single loud board, long-press it and choose "🔉 Quieter" (at most one push every 30 minutes) or "@ Mentions only" instead of muting it outright.
+ - How do I move a thread to the right board?
Staff only: open the thread and use "Move this thread" under the title. You can move a thread to a board that's the same or more private — a Premium thread can't be moved into a free room, because that would show replies people wrote thinking the room was members-only.
+ - How do I earn 1912 Coins?
Show up and play. You earn coins for a daily check-in (which builds your streak), making pick'em picks, answering the daily trivia and Cards Word, voting in polls and power rankings, and completing daily quests. Premium members earn at a faster rate.
+ - What can I spend 1912 Coins on?
Head to Rewards to cash coins for perks and codes. You can also put coins on pick'em calls (a correct call earns 2×), buy a streak freeze to protect a missed day, and spend them in coin auctions and tips.
+ - What are the membership tiers?
Free gets you the boards, live game threads, weekly pick'em, and coin earning. Premium adds early scoops, Premium-only boards, the 1912 Read on recruiting targets, member pricing on drops, and a faster coin rate. There's also a limited Founding VIP seat — the VIP Lounge board, a VIP badge, and first access to watch parties — which shows on the upgrade page while seats are open.
+ - How do I upgrade to Premium?
Open Join to compare tiers, or your profile's upgrade path, and pick your seat. Founding rates are available at launch.
+ - How does pick'em work?
Each week you call the games and put 1912 Coins on your picks. Nail it and you earn 2× back. Your record (wins-losses-pushes) shows on your profile.
+ - How do streaks work?
Check in daily to grow your day streak — longer streaks earn bonuses. Miss a day and it resets, unless you've bought a streak freeze, which insures one missed day so your streak survives.
+ - What is a streak freeze?
A coin sink that protects your streak. Buy one with 1912 Coins ahead of time; if you miss a day, the freeze is spent automatically and your streak stays alive. There's a cap on how many you can hold.
+ - I'm coming from Discord — how do I claim my account?
Tap the claim link we send you and confirm it's you. You keep your name and, if you're a paid member, your Premium status. Takes under a minute. Start at the Claim page.
+ - How do I sign in?
Open your profile and sign in. Google and Apple sign-in land as those keys go live; if you came from Discord, use Claim your account instead.
+ - How do I change my username or profile picture?
Open your profile. Tap your profile picture to upload a new one, and use the edit field next to your handle to change your username — new name has to be unique. Your posts and coins all carry over.
+ - How do I message someone who hasn't messaged me?
Open Messages and tap "✉️ New message", then search their handle — you can start a conversation with any member, they don't have to message you first. That first message goes over as a request, and you can send one more once they accept it. You can also tap someone's name or photo on any message to open their card and message them from there.
+ - Can I use this on my computer? Is there a desktop app or website?
There's nothing to download — it's the same app in your browser. Go to the1912society.com (it forwards to app.the1912society.com) and sign in with the same account you use on your phone; everything syncs. If you want it out of a tab, most desktop browsers will let you install it as its own window — look for "Install" or "Install app" in the address bar or the browser menu.
+ - How do I turn notifications on or off?
Go to your profile, then Notifications (or Settings → Notifications). Toggle push on, and fine-tune which alerts you get from your notification preferences.
+ - How do I post a fan photo?
The Fan Wall is at Explore → Fan Wall (the side menu's "Explore everything" gets you there, or the Explore row in the left rail on a computer). Submit your shot from that page. Photos go through a quick review before they hit the wall, so give it a little time to show up. The Gallery is a different page — that one is our photographer's shots from the field.
+ - How do I make picks, play trivia, or find the games?
Everything's in The Arcade — open Play. Pick'em, daily trivia, Cards Word, community polls, season predictions, power rankings, bracket pools, daily quests, and the leaderboard all live there.
+ - What is my reputation / rep badge?
Rep is your standing in the community — it grows as you post, play, and contribute constructively. Your level and score show on your profile next to your handle.
+ - How do I see my coin history or the leaderboard?
From your profile, tap Coin history to see every coin earned or spent, or Leaderboard to see where you rank in Card Nation.
+ - How do I export or delete my data?
Open Your data & privacy from your profile. You can self-serve a data export or delete your account there.
+ - Who is Louie?
